April 2025 Newsletter

Sat Nam

Welcome to my April newsletter!

As the sun continues to shine, and our days become longer and warmer… with nature blossoming its way into our hearts, we too have the opportunity to harness this energy and blossom into our fullest potential.

Here I’ll share some practices that align with April, and a few gems and nuggets of wisdom from my Level 2 Authentic Relationships Module.

How Kundalini Yoga works…in a diagram!

When we tune in, we connect to the golden chain, the link between the student, the teacher, and the lineage of teachers before. When we practice, we remove the blocks that hold us back from being and experiencing our authentic selves.

Aries’ element is Fire and the it’s colour is Yellow. In it’s positive polarity it embodies the qualities of self discipline, Versatility, ambition, confidence, and personal power. It relates to the Manipura chakra (the third Chakra), which translates as ‘place of shining gem’, or ‘City of jewels’

It is located in the naval area and spreads the fire element through the body, thus bringing energy, warmth and light. It represents the Masculine, direct action, and a strong sense of self.

In its negative polarity it’s traits can manifest as impatience, being overly competitive and Fiery!

A balanced Manipura chakra reflects the qualities of feeling empowered, self-assured and motivated. Each month we can tap into these different qualities and through Mantra and meditation bring about more alignment and awareness in our lives

Mantra for April

Har har Har Har Gobinday

Har Har Har Har Mukanday

Har Har Har Har Udaaray

Har Har Har Har Apparay

Har Har Har Har Hariang

Har Har Har Har Kariang

Har Har Har Har Nir Naamay

Har Har Har Har Akaamay

The mantra is for manifesting prosperity, opportunity, and strengthening your will power.

Har – Infinite Divinity. Gobinday– Sustainer. Mukunday– Liberator. Udaaray– Enlightener.
Apaaray– Infinite. Hariang– Destroyer. Kariang– Creator. Nir-naamay– Nameless. Akaamay–
Desireless

To chant:

Sit in easy pose with the hands in gyan mudra (thumb and forefinger touching) on the knees, elbows straight.

Chant this mantra for 11-31 minutes in the morning before starting your day to program your psyche for success and courage, to uplift your spirits, to create an aura of invincibility, and a super strong radiant body. (You may glow in the dark.!)

You may find that 11 minutes is not enough. 15 or 22 minutes is good and 31 minutes is very satisfying and empowering!

Pre-forgiveness

‘Pre’ forgiveness was one of the key concepts and a tool in the ‘authentic relationships module’, to navigate difficult relationships with more ease and less conflict. So, you’re forgiving somebody even before they have done something to provoke you.

This may seem a little like ‘bowing down’, and accepting someone’s provocative behaviour, but it is actually pretty empowering as it can steer the relay away from a potential conflict, resulting in there being no need to enter into a commotion with the other.

So, if you’re feeling the heat in a situation, you could give it a go and see what unfolds. Another tool if you’re feeling the ‘heat’ is the pranayama: Sitali breath

Pranayama for April
