Outdoor Kundalini yoga classes

These outdoor classes will resume from Spring 2021. Dates will be added closer to the time

The Community Gardens, Bulwer Road, Clarendon Park, Leicester, UK.

Payment is by donation. Please put your contribution in the donation box at the beginning of the class.

  • Suitable for all levels.
  • Please bring your Yoga mat, water bottle and shawl.
  • Please note that there are no toilets at the venue.
  • On street parking is available.

Kundalini yoga class FAQs

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive about 5 to 10 minutes prior to the start of the class.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes like leggings, jogging bottoms, T shirt and/or a long- sleeved top.

What should I bring with me?

  • A yoga mat.
  • A bottle of water.
  • A shawl or blanket to cover yourself during relaxation.
  • A cushion (optional) for sitting on during meditation.

Can I park at the venue?

There is plenty of on street parking outside the venue if arriving by car.

What happens in a Joti Yoga kundalini yoga class?

We tune in with OM

We tune in together with one long ‘OM’

We then begin the kriya. In Kundalini yoga the teacher stays on the mat and demonstrates the exercises and holds the space for the class. Each week will be different as we work on particular aspects of the body and mind through kriya and meditations.

If you need to take a break during an exercise, that’s fine, however stay with the exercise in your mind and visualize yourself doing the perfect version of it, then join back in when you are ready. If adjustments are needed to correct postures, I’ll verbally repeat the posture to the whole class, so just check in with yourself to make sure that you’ve got it right.

Straight after the Kriya it’s the relaxation. After relaxation we finish with a meditation.

At the end of class, we tune out together with 3 Sat naams
